I originally thought this was a BS way to get credits but I was happily surprised. I actually learned more than I thought, It draws from Psych, Soc, Corporate Comm. etc and utilizes modern forms of communication which I really liked. I would say this is a decent way to get transfer credit for the basics about communication. The tests are open book (and the e-book is free) which really help when testing. Once I figured out how to navigate the e-course and download youtube I was good to go. The objectives and grading are clear and if you have any background in college and the workforce, you should do fine. I think it's easier to do a youtube speech with no audience than actually doing it in front your audience. You control the timing and can stop and re-start if you need, and it went great. I love that you can see yourself giving the presentation so you can really work on your delivery and mannerisms. That was a great feature. First time I ever had a proctored final via an e-course and I thought it was a great way to be able to do this from home. The final is drawn a lot from prior quizzes so just review them and you'll be fine along with the e-book. I plan on transferring it to WGU so I did my research before signing up, knowing the course equivalency to my school of choice. I think that's the only way its really worth taking a Straighterline course

Great course, I really learned a lot. Open book tests. Be prepared to do a lot of reading.
