I've taken college and self-study courses pertaining to Java prior to this class (and received excellent marks while doing so). This is the first time I feel that I truly understand concepts like instantiation, constructors and privacy. This could well be due to the number of times I've been exposed to these particular topic; however, I do feel as if Craig Dennis has a particularly cogent manner in which he teaches these fundamental ideas. I was a little hesitant about spending time completing this curriculum as I felt it might be a waste of time, but now I'm glad that I took the time to learn from Craig. I would like to use Treehouse as a platform to progress in my current place of employment, and Java is the primary language utilized for development. I am searching for curriculum that exposes Java to programmers that are interested in building some sort of app, whether it be desktop, web or mobile. I hope that Treehouse will ... I hope that Treehouse will expand its Java offering so that I can become more proficient in Java and with object oriented programming.

I would want to learn more and more and get to know much of the practical examples and how the language can be applied on ground. If there is more improvement on clear and well understandable examples which makes one understands the language more deeper and simpler.

It's clean & easy to move through. The only time I was unsure, was the first time Boolean's were mentioned in a quiz. I felt there could have been a little more about that in the video before. I understood it after the quiz though, so meh. Same result!

I like Craig's style. He explains complex topics clearly. I loved that he approached it from a problem-solving standpoint. We continually adjusted the project to make it better in the class and he also led us through finding answers through looking at documentation which is super helpful and I wasn't taught to do that when I took my first Java course in an Intro to Computer Programming class in 2006. Thanks for the high quality work. Your email follow ups are helpful and encouraging as well.
