Great course. The instructor uses real life plugins (sticky, slick carousel...) to show how it works. Easy to follow and useful skills to apply immediately.

The course was straight down the middle as far as the content was concerned. Dave is a highly competent instructor who has a great command of the subject matter and communicates clearly. If I have a criticism it is that the examples don't cover the breadth of the possibilities with the plugins covered. I did experience some difficulty taking the concepts further than the basics. But then, maybe I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box.

Very useful and simple to learn. Dave explained the basics of jQuery plugins. We definitely need more courses like this, a little bit more advanced though.

Dave McFarland's course on jQuery plugins was excellent. He really is one of Treehouse's best teachers; I wish he taught all of Treehouse's JavaScript-related courses.

This was a useful course and I really like this instructor. He is excellent at explaining JavaScript and I see him as being one of the best teachers on Treehouse. I wish he actually had taught all of the JS courses on Treehouse and had more of a presence there.

jQuery plugins are awesome! I believe that Dave has done a great job in putting together this course. I've been guided smoothly through the topic and I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to apply the teachings to my current and future projects. Prior to this course I've taken the jQuery Basics. Although I strongly recommend to take that course first, it's not critical in order to understand jQuery plugins. In fact, during Dave's course there's a quick introduction that delivers fundamental concepts that will allow you to continue the course even without the jQuery- Basics course. Lastly, Thanks to TeamTreeHouse for such a fantastic content delivery system! Tina

The course was possibly a bit basic for my level but I found it to be a really helpful refresher. It was very well explained, Dave is an excellent teacher, and despite being fairly familiar with the material I picked up some new tips. The course would definitely suit a beginner and i can imagine it being invaluable to someone just starting out.

Great that they all you through some sample plugins and debugging. After taking all 3 parts of the course I felt comfortable using another plugin on my site and was able to configure it perfectly

This course was fantastic. Dave did a great job explaining: 1) where to look for jQuery plugins 2) what to look for in a plugin (documentation, current support, etc...), 3) and, maybe most important, WHEN to use a plugin. I also found the integration with CSS particularly helpful. Thanks, Dave!
