I had an awesome experience learning about the various jquery plugins. The plugins covered in this course are very helpful and the tasks they perform are generally in demand. I love the way Sir Dave McFarland teaches. He can make any complex programming tasks look easier.

Dave is an ideal Instructor. He explains eveything clearly and fully. This course also challenges you to put what you learn into practice, which helps you really get familiar with how Jquery works if your willing to put in the effort to give it a try.

Best instructor of teamtreehouse so far. Explains in a professional manner and challenges you to apply what you have just learned. You just wish other instructors would be half as good as Dave is.

An excellent course taught by Dave McFarland and provided by Treehouse. This course presents jQuery plugin usage in a simple and clear manner. It illustrates jQuery plugin usage using the following plugins: 1. Animsition 2. Sticky 3. Slick A bummer is that the "Animsition" plugin doesn't seem to work with any of the latest browsers (Chrome, FireFox, or IE). I spent hours trying different approaches (including fiddling with plugin sources as last resort), but just couldn't get it to work. So, beginning jQuery plugin journey with this plugin is not an ideal experience. However, the other two plugins work just fine. There were issues in accessing Treehouse workspace (where you do the lab) couple of times, but they got resolved quickly. Nevertheless, Dave is one of the best teachers I ever had and you will surely learn a lot from this course.

I liked this course. I thought the "challenges" given were relevant to the curriculum and class level. They were challenging but not impossible. The instructor, Dave McFarland, did a good job of explaining things in a way that I understood.

Great content and great explanations. Loved the make it yourself parts. I think that helps a lot for a new person that is trying and is willing to learn about front end development.

This was a really great walkthrough of how to use jQuery plugins, with lots of practical examples to save and refer to later! The instructor explains everything very plainly and explaining how to read the documentation was especially helpful. The plugins he picked to showcase were ones that seem like they will have great value in knowing for future projects.

Fantastic explanation and set up to using plugins. I had previously struggled with the concept of jquery and the concepts of additional parts to it but I have a better understanding of the topic.

Really enjoyed this course, as well as the other instructed by Dave McFarland. It has levelled me up and I will be looking forward to finishing the balance of the Full Stack JavaScript Track and more courses taught by Dave.

Although the title of the course suggest using jQuery plugings, it would have been a lot better if we got deeper into creating our own plugins. Sometimes workplaces are buggy and sloppy, but as a whole the course is good for people who want to find a jQuery plugin and tweak it a bit.

Through some step this course shows the potential plugin for jQuery deepening the use of plugins such sticky.js and slicky.js . He teaches , in addition to using the plugin , how to customize them with the use of CSS . Great, I learned a lot . Thank you Dave. Mattia

Fantastic course. Excellent information, presented in an engaging way that actually holds me accountable for paying attention - the quizzes sprinkled throughout won't let you just lazily watch the videos without paying attention. The instructor is engaging, and the coursework is well thought out and very useful.

Solid course on the background of jQuery plugins, why you'd want to use them in a web project, where to find some good jQuery plugins, and how to implement them. As usual, Dave does an awesome job of succinctly teaching a complex topic and making it easy to get up to speed. I'll definitely be utilizing jQuery plugins in my future web dev projects!

I really enjoyed this course. If you've never used plugins and would like to, I can highly recommend it. It makes good use of three different plugins and shows how easy and straightforward it can be.

Everything about this course is great. Dave explained everything and it was easy to follow along. It's not always easy to be the best form when teaching but Dave has that talent as a teacher. Great course overall.

The course covered the basics of implementing jQuery plugins, where to find them, how to read and understand the documentation and what skills a developer would need to implement them. Then, the course provided three concrete examples of applying a plugin, and covered basics on how to resolve issues arising from conflicts among multiple plugins. The instructor was thorough and clear. He demonstrated his process in a concise but thorough manner. Team Treehouse has done wonders for me developing an interest in and learning the basics of programming. I've taken a number of their courses, and they have all been good. Most have been excellent.

I learned a great deal from this course because it clearly and concisely introduced to me the concept of jQuery plugins and provided me a very useful, top-level approach toward working with them, including what the typical (but by no means "set-in-stone") order of operations are when it comes to including them in various applications (calling the CSS, jQuery, JS scripts, etc.). This latter point, especially, further demystified certain aspects of programming and made me realize so much is attainable by just following simple steps. The course also introduced me to some very useful plugins that I'll likely use in the future. And Dave, once again, effectively put the programming ball in my court just enough so that I experimented with the code and eventually taught myself a few things. I highly recommend this tutorial.

It's great! Dave is a perfect fit for me. I love his courses. I took this course to learn sticky plugin but grasped a few other useful things as well being a front-end developer.
