This was my first course with Udacity and it was thoroughly enjoyed. Linux Command Line Basics is very short only 3 lessons long and suggest you have a little programming experience before taking, but it's really not needed as I took it without any previous programming experience. Lesson 1 covers setting up a Virtual Machine (VM) with Vagrant so you can follow along if your on the Windows operating system, what the unix command line/shell is and why it differs form a GUI. Then in lesson 2 you get your hands dirty by using commands to, unzip files, reading the manual pages, listing hidden files (dot files), and much more. Finally in lesson 3 you learn to navigate, copy, move, rename, and target files by specific patterns all through the command line. Overall this course took about 3 to 4 hours over the course of 2 days to complete and was very much enjoyable.
