Although I took this course over a year ago. I was stuck on some simple part of the course and I normally like figuring out things on my own. So when I asked for help at 3am in the morning I was shocked the instructor responded and helped me threw it. I just wish I did it last year when I signed up. Either way the course worked and I now have my sign up, login, log out website how I want it. Thanks for all your HELP if your reading this!!!

I just finished my first website, using HTML5, and was looking for a way to secure the site by having all visitors request access. This course breaks down each level of authentication, so one can choose which level of available access best suits his/her needs. Great course and code files.

This short course provides you with the essential coding basics for the front end of a membership site. If you are new to php, then you may find the explanation behind the coding beyond you. However, anyone with just a smidgen of php experience should be able to follow along. Either way, in the end you get the code that will enable you to set up the login and page protection functions of a membership website.

I like that this course is targeted to a single topic - adding login to your website. Topics are clearly explained, and the source code is well-written and commented. I love the idea of building on the code in each lecture, showing how each change adds a new feature. Very useful and interesting course!

What I loved about this course is 3-fold. First, it's cheap, and cheap is always good. The reason why it's cheap is because it's specific. It take a particular challenge in web development and shows you how to implement it correctly. The lecturer goes into good detail and gives you access to all the code. (I personally find reading good code to be best way to learn once your familiar with the language and it's structures.) Lastly, it goes on to point you to solid open source frameworks so you don't have to code everything from scratch. TLDR : I wish more people would follow this education model. Pick a specific challenge/problem, design a short series of lectures addressing that problem and its facets in detail. Deliver an understanding of the mechanics complete with the ability for self-study of the code, and then redirect to an alternative to doing it yourself from scratch. Well Done Dave!
