I liked the course, however it's way too basic with near to no explanation. The saliva noises he makes with his mouth sounds like a camel chewing its food, it's very annoying sometimes. But good videos for beginners and great instructor! just stop with the noises.

Actually, two and a half stars only. I did the final project for HTML and CSS. He tells you how you can change the color of your links depending on their state - link, hover, visited, active. His code fails to produce the hover. He does not even check. Then he says we only want hover, so we remove the code for the other states. Then hover works. Finally, he says that the states have to be in a particular order. Sloppy! He also wastes a lot of time in copy pasting stuff. Why can't you just prepare slides for lessons that have short snippets of code? Advice - Get these courses when there are big discount coupons. I got this course for $10 instead of $200. Why do you think I took this course? I am sticking to the books.

This course is very well put together, and covers everything from the absolute basics to the frontiers of web development. Even if someone had never written a line of code in their life, they would still be able to come out of this course being a web development master.

First off, like others in this course, I have been searching for a course that was a step above the rest. I have learned HTML and CSS from other sources but what this course has done for me is to show me how to apply this knowledge to real world projects AND how to monetize on the skills that are learned within this course. With the quality of the videos and the information that is provided as well as the instructors assistance on the forums, this course is well worth the price paid, especially considering how much you would have to pay in order to take several college courses to get the same information.

If you are new to the world of web development and are just starting out, then this is the course for you! Victor gives a comprehensive and thorough introduction to many of the coding languages that are needed for the web, like: HTML & CSS, JavaScript & jQuery, JSON & Ajax, HTML5 & CSS3 and PHP & MySQL. It is easy to follow the tutorials and understand the contents. There is just enough repetition to make you confident in knowing most of the material with just recall. The course is logically structured and in no way boring or monotonous to listen to. The final projects at the end of each section are always fun to watch and do. At the end of every section there are exercises to give you opportunity to practise what Victor has taught you. He also gives guides for the coding language in that section, which is a list of example code and a description for what that piece of code does. This is a must have course for any new web developer. ... If you are new to the world of web development and are just starting out, then this is the course for you! Before starting this course, I had basic skills in HTML and Java. After 2 months of using this course, I've become proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and so much more. This course is one of the best out there for learning web development and I'd recommend it to anyone that would like to learn something awesome.

I have participated in several web development courses on Udemy and this is by far the most complete and thorough course out there. Victor covers everything you will need to start your journey as a web developer. I have a background in digital marketing and this course has allowed me to make more money from my freelancing clients by keeping development work in-house and not having to outsource. Also the video quality is great and the content is broken down into chunks of knowledge that is easier to retain. I find myself coming back to the course on the iPhone app when I need a quick refresher on something.

This is the best way to learn how to develop and make websites. Mr. Bastos, explains web development step by step for each chapter. Also the end of chapter projects and pdf exercise questions help a lot in practicing web development.

I dropped out of the college I was in taking web development classes because I couldn't keep up at their accelerated pace and properly learn the craft. I did a lot of searching for books materials and classes before I bought this class from stack social. So far it's been great. The material is pretty much everything I was learning and it can be done at my pace so I may take more time to understand anything that may be stumping me. Also it helps to have a broader base of people to ask for help from not to mention Victor is normally on top of answering any questions as fast as he can. I plan to hit up There onclick academy once I finish this class to continue going with my learning.

This is a pretty good course. I got it as a Cult Of Mac NYOP bundle. I think it's worth every unit of money. This is a great beginners course. I started this course with knowledge of HTML. But I didn't know any JS. This course helped me learn JS properly.I took one point off for the frequent spelling errors. But all in all,I totally loved this course and totally recommend it to any beginning devs.

Unlike many courses related to web development on Udemy this course actually takes you through the basics up to an intermediate/advanced level in a fashion that doesn't require prior knowledge. It delivers what it promises and is well worth the investment of your time and money.

I have not yet completed the course, but so far have been able to create a number of things I wanted to, using what I have learnt from this course. The video quality is good and the audio clear.

This course takes you from the very basic of web development to at least intermediate level step by step. And its sections are pretty well-designed, if you already have knowledge for certain sections you can just skip them and directly get into the topics you want to learn.

TL;DR I paid very little for this course, so I am not bent out of shape for the ten dollars I paid for it, That being said I would go the w3schools.com (Which Victor himself admits is a great learning site) and youtube route, and never paying top dollar for this course. Constructive ranting: I did expect a professional to teach the course and be able to articulate the more difficult parts of PHP/MySQL programming. Though you can tell Victor understands the content in his own mind, he struggles to transfer that knowledge to the student. Many critical learning points do not include a WHY, but more of a "that's it, and your done!" WHAT's "IT"? You just showed me that if I type these letters in this order it will do what you said it will do. That's not teaching, it is showing. Throughout the course Victor makes many spelling errors in his scripts and also misses key bits of information which derails the entire lesson as you are trying to... You just showed me that if I type these letters in this order it will do what you said it will do. That's not teaching, it is showing. Throughout the course Victor makes many spelling errors in his scripts and also misses key bits of information which derails the entire lesson as you are trying to keep up with his mumblings of commands. He uses them as opportunities to show you the errors, but I feel you should cover "troubleshooting and errors" in its own section. Teach how to setup and use and IDE, it is an absolute "Web Developer" essential skill. Notepad++ is fantastic and has it's place, but a properly setup IDE is invaluable and real world experience to boot. When you are teaching, you need to have it correct the first time in order to build trust with your student that they indeed just paid for a professional to teach them web development, and that is what they should get. Quit the crappy cuts between an error popping up and you finally figuring out what you did wrong, it ruins the flow. Re do the entire section, but this time do it correctly. Don't be the beer of Udemy and charge champagne prices. Also it is completely okay for you to set up a page before hand and explain to the student that you would like them to have a page similar to yours set up and to pause the video while they do so. It was frustrating watching you copy and paste paragraphs of text for up to 4 minutes in some sections. My main gripe about the course is that it seems as though Victor is just giving you a customized tutorial of what you learn for free at w3schools.com. The PHP section was informative for a bit, and then it became rushed, I got the feeling Victor was not comfortable with the material, rather than explaining WHY it became, "and that's it, your done!" But...I want to learn, I can watch people code for free on youtube, give me more meat less potatoes. I don't care if the lesson is 3 hours long, if it take 3 hours to explain something to the point of making one understand the subject then make it 3 hours long. I appreciate Victor, but English is definitely his second language, and though he speaks/writes it very well, I just felt there was a lot of articulation missed throughout the course. You will NOT be a Web Developer after this course, you will have the extremely basic knowledge of what you have to learn to become a web developer, but you will not be one. Essentially if you can read, then going through each tutorial on w3schools.com and then youtubing anything you're fuzzy on, will probably get you further than this course. Especially MySQL. I would change the course title to something like, "Start your journey of becoming a Web Developer" or "A visual guide to w3schools.com tutorials".

only 4 Stars because after - I think the lessons about PHP and MySQL - there are no more source files from the video. There are a lot of questions from students because they did a simple mistype and couldn't directly compare the self-written and Victors code. The instructer himself is one of the best I had until now (I have done 6 courses at the moment). I had no problems to understand what he said. If you think about learning web developement, then grab this course and start.
