What I really appreciate about Patrick’s lesson is that it gets people in the church thinking about how to engage the culture. Most churches are run by people in my age group (the graying ‘baby boom” generation) but the people we are LOSING are the young Mosaics who live and breathe on the Internet. Just as Christians in America have become too judgmental in spiritual matters, we’ve also become too judgmental in believing that young people should continue to communicate the way us “old people” always have. Thanks, Patrick, for showing us a fresh way to “Think Like Jesus, and Lead Like Moses.”

This class is well organized and presented in plain English (no high-tech jargon) that everyone can understand. The information is a general overview of social media - not too overwhelming - and provides great suggestions that can be used immediately. Great class!

This class was great because it made me look at promotion of Easter from the person who might be wanting to come to church but not sure they are able to come. And that as churches we post about us and not always what we have to offer someone. Need to make sure we thinking about what we can give. It also showed real examples of how to tell the story of Easter over time leading up to Easter Sunday on social media and websites. And it even went into details about how to do SEO on a church website to promote Easter this year and how that will benefit in years to come.
