What a great set of tutorials and at a speed I could keep up with too. I really got so much out of this course. Thanks for creating something so easy to get into and understand. I am excited to learn about Javascript now!

why? 1) The instructor is an amazing instructor who will make u think like a web site designer, web site developer as U design a complete website with him 2) he has tons of examples, many coding exercises, many Quizzes to offer for U 3) In 12 hours, he accomplishes in instructing u almost all the details of HTML (HTML 5) & CSS (CSS 3) in the ways above 1) & 2) 4) I love his casual yet detailed style of instruction (without any unnecessary jokes or anything else). Just HTML & CSS. 5) I really wish he has some courses on Javascript & JQuery and other topics. I will for sure take them Note: I am on Lecture 58 now :D

If you are looking for a good solid course to start learning HTML and CSS from scratch, this is one to take. I went through many routes, watched many tutorials before this one, and I wish I found this class earlier. Jonathan did a great job in taking the time to explain everything in a very clear and precise manner, this helped me to understand why things are done. This is a project base tutorial, so you can learn the work flow of coding a website. I was confused quite a bite about how to put together a website, after watching this course, I finally get it! Thanks Jonathan!

I learned the basics of web design 4 years ago in a rushed certificate course I had taken on web design and development. We learned html 4 and css2 as html 5 and css3 weren't quite out yet. I didn't have very advanced skills and really wanted some structured learning on responsive design as well as html5 and css3. This helped immensely!! Even though a lot was repeat learning for me, it helped to start from scratch and pick up any pieces I missed out on before to gain a better understanding of html and css. Now I can confidently create responsive html 5 websites, knowing they are safe in all browsers! Thank you Jonathan! Great job.

Jonathan uses a good mix of overview, great examples that force you to write the code and actually see how it affects the web page, and nice additions of links to other sites that supply tools or other code. It all adds up to a complete package and I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to feel comfortable developing web sites. Well done!!

It's extremely detailed and well explained, but what I really like about this course is that Jonathan is giving extra tips and tricks that professional front-end developers use.

I like how you break things down into terms that those of us with some types of learning disabilities can understand.

I tried a few courses and I must say this is probably the best one. Jonathan has clearly watched his own videos to make sure they are completely viewable and clear, the text isn't too small or anything like that. The content and teaching is oustanding. Things are explained well even for beginners.

The takeaways are also helpful, but it would be nice to see them all in one location or in a single text document or whatever. Also, many of the links do not work from within Chrome for some reason, and some of the sidebar images do not display correctly either. These are not big problems.

This course is very good, the author (Jonathan) includes a lot of examples and guides you step by step. The files included for the exercises are very useful and following the example is a great way to learn and simplify all the process. He doesn't leave anything without consideration, so is a great course if you want to learn how responsive design works.

I'm only into section 6, but he's really, really good - very worth the small amount of money for so much information. It's very easy to follow along with and he's pleasant! I hesitated for several days, but am so glad that I took the course. I'd already created several sites and just came in to learn how to upgrade them to responsive. I'm glad I started in sections that I thought I already knew, because I'm learning a lot. It also *feels* very different: searching all over the place for the answer to something broken in your page and being frustrated is awful. In this course you can kick back, work on existing files and relax. Seriously, I trust this guy to teach each topic so that I get it. Plus, you can ask questions and get answers. Thanks Jonathan! ~Lauren

Jonathan is a great guide--so detail oriented and resourceful--I'd hug him for torturing us thru the labor of love that is the content of this in depth course~! A perfect blend of exercises, quizzes, resources-I'll have to take this course a few refresher times as I build my site. TY!

Never would have thought that I could understand CSS. Jonathan has made it very clear and I found a new belief in my own abilities after not being in school for over 14 years. Thanks!

Easy to follow, the teacher gave you a lot of online sources to help you to learn more. I finished about half so far, hope I will finish the whole course soon. I will update my review later.

I am familiar HTML and CSS, so some of this was boring. But this was great to take me from normal HTML to HTML 5 and CSS to CSS3. I appreciate the how one is learning the current way people use these languages and how they try to make the website with the modern program language work for the general population out there. This was a great course that gives good information on making websites with HTML5 and CSS3.

The course director does a great job of walking you through the concepts in a way that breaks down the information in digestible amounts, but also keeps it challenging and interesting. I never thought that the teacher over- or under- explained anything. As someone who has zero experience with coding, I can say that I have already learned a great deal with the 30 minutes of instruction I've had. I have learned some coding, as well as gotten a better understanding of the role it plays in the bigger picture.

I've tried other coding courses and, although I've just started (up to Lecture 8), I am grasping the concepts better with this combination of seeing, hearing and doing than the other online courses I tried.

Jonathan has put together a great course. I have quite a bit of experience with web design but have been working to learn responsive design and the course web site looked quite different than some of the the work that I'd already done. I wasn't sure about taking it because I felt like a lot of it would be too basic for me. It turned out to be well worth taking although I didn't spend much time on the early lessons. I'm pleased to have added a few new tricks to my skill-set. I particularly liked learning that I could do real-time testing by putting the site on my localhost server and testing through Screenfly. (This wouldn't be absolutely required but it is helpful as it's faster than having to upload changes to a server on the web) Jonathan was also very good about getting back to me when I asked about a problem with the display of the course site in IE8. He tracked down the problem in the code and fixed it quickly. I would recommend... Jonathan has put together a great course. Between the very well laid out course and the resources that Jonathan provides this course is a real bargain.
