This workshop has taken me from a vague and wobbly gut feeling about who my various customers could be, to one, laser-sharp picture of *the* customer type I now believe I should serve first. This in itself is immense progress as it has drawn a sense of purpose, order and drive from the dreamy chaos that had been on my mind. Can't wait for the next workshops! UPDATE: Just FAB!!!!

Amazing course. There are so many trash-level courses, this one is the first one which I'll rate for 5 stars. The only thing - it would be nice to do your parallel practical work with students and show your results all the time for better uderstanding. Thanks!

From this course, you will take away at least 1 idea that will pay for the cost. You will have at least 2 ideas that will get you excited about your customer, and you will learn at least 3 techniques that turn subjective opinions into an objective process that your team can use for the rest of your professional career.

My small company is working on a new product and we got a lot out of the course materials. The structure was fantastic and very focused. The exercises were short but productive. We will use these methods over and over. Thanks!

This course puts design at the very heart of product development and is a model of how to do online video training the right way: I can't recommend it highly enough. Using studio-quality audio and video, Janice takes us through the various stages of building great products -- understanding your customers, interviewing users, using data to test your assumptions about customers, developing a minimum viable product, defining metrics to measure progress, and changing your initial design based on these data. The course is structured like a real workshop -- it's as if Janice is in the room with you -- and you're given the worksheets you need to work through each step. You also learn techniques like the "dump and sort" to help you "think wide and then decide" (my personal favourite) as well as how to create sketches to help you envision your customer and how to design "information radiators" to help everyone focus on what's important in the... Good process to iterate on and keep in mind as one goes about developing products. Would be useful to have the transcript files per lesson.

This course teaches you how to think about your project from many different angles, particularly from the view of the people that you're asking to spend money on it. It will help you determine whether your idea is a good one, and identify a course to making the right consumers aware of it. It's broken down into easily digestible chunks, including very simple exercises to guide you through the process. I'm good at web development, but I was fairly clueless about customer and product development before I found this course. This gave me a very intuitive starting point for launching my own products, and I'm sure I'll be using this tool for years to come!

Wow.....it's very rare to find a comprehensive course which articulates a 360 degree view of creating a quality product! Janice NAILS it with this course and am hoping this is just the beginning of the courses she'll be releasing for us to learn from. Advice ranges from strategic to tactical with excellent transitions in between sections of the course. This was the best money I've spent toward ensuring my product was on track in a very long time!

This course is fundamental for startup teams at any stage. From identifying the customer to testing and measuring assumptions -- and of course, the pivot -- the course gives a practical step-by-step process for decision-making and implementing best practices. It's absolutely the best investment you can make in your startup.

This course will help you figure out your goals and help you design a plan to start marketing your product. I really like the way the curriculum is broken down into different sections and steps so that you can systematically make your way through the process. Everything is explained well and it makes the whole process understandable. I read the book Lean StartUp by Eric Ries and really believe in his suggestions and principles. This course helps with creating a workable plan to implement lean startup principles.

The great thing about this course is how it walks me through a process that makes sense. So often I get stuck with an I idea that doesn't have a clear path to completion. This worked great :)

The Luxr program has been absolutely invaluable to me and my team at TaskRabbit. The program is very thorough, yet easy to follow, and its benefits have been substantial to date. Janice has helped us focus on creating the right product for the right customers, and we couldn't be happier for having gone through the course.

This is an excellent course and a must-take for entrepreneurs, business owners or anyone contemplating starting a business. Clear instructions, metrics--it will have you slapping your forehead wondering, "Why didn't I think of that?" This workshop instructs you to test your assumptions--these are steps critical to giving any business a real shot at success and longevity. Highly, highly recommend as a former tech consulting firm owner and current organization development consultant to non-profits and small & micro businesses. Clients tend to want to jump in whole hog and build all the bells and whistles without testing their perceived customer base, their iterations--this workshop is a real eye opener for why that always results in a loss of income and potential customers.

This takes you through what I call "Lean +" start-up methodology in a very hands-on, concrete way. There is some theoretical background, but the emphasis is on getting from the course material to a real-life start-up. Love the fact that this means anyone, anywhere in the world now has access to this kind of material. Good for the global economy!

We've gone through the Luxr process twice at my company, and it's been amazing. Following the curriculum has helped us focus our energy on learning from customers, rather than stressing out about process. We've quickly uncovered some gold-nugget-insights. Highly recommend!

Janice has guided so many teams through these powerful exercises. She shares powerful tools for entrepreneurs, and communicates them in a way that is easy to follow. I'd recommend these excises to any startup team to increase their productivity, and get started on the right foot, and have fun working together.
