I have been in IT for several years, but I had a couple of specific things in mind when I took this course: 1\. Update my skills - even though I have written code off and on over the years, javascript being no exception, I found that many things have changed completely from 10 years ago (and even 5 years ago!), I am learning so many new things through this course and it is exciting! 2\. I wanted to do some freelance work - let me tell you, just because you work in IT does not mean you have the skills for freelance web development. Its a whole new toolbox of skills. This course delivers above and beyond in this area! Highly practical and well worth the investment. Also, this course does not skip on content. This is an excellent course in Web Development. It provides a good foundation for beginners - all the important subjects are discussed in detail (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PhP etc) and best of all are the exercises along the way and the challenges/projects provided so that you can gauge your grasp of a subject. Rob speaks very clearly and works through the examples at a comfortable pace. Occasionally the code he is typing can be a bit blurred but it is still discernible and PDFs of the code are available for each of the lessons. Although the course provides a great deal of technical knowledge for the beginner, the course does require a great deal of dedication, persistence and practice to truly master the topics covered here. There's always somebody to help you along if you get stuck anywhere in the course. I highly recommend the course.

Even though I haven't completed the course, so far I find it to be really manageable and fun. I think having short videos and then the documents available at the end is a really effective way to deliver the material. It doesn't ever seem overwhelming, and if one of the concepts is confusing, you can watch the video again or refer to the helpful document at the end. Rob is really clear and the pace at which he goes over the material is just right. The only minor complaint I have is that sometimes it takes me a little extra time to figure out how to do things since I'm on a PC and Rob goes over things on a Mac - he explains how to do things on a PC as well, but with the different windows versions it can take a little bit longer to figure out where everything is. Overall, I highly recommend this class, especially for beginners who need to start from scratch.

Mr. Percival does a quality job explaining the fundamentals of the subjects. He even goes so far as to explain more in-depth concepts like jquery. Above all, my favorite part of this series is the inclusion of a data hosting package which is (from what i gathered) run by and maintained by the instructor. It's a good way to get started without learning how to set up a local server yourself. Not only that but setting up the server is very easy as Mr. Percival walk you through the steps to not only get the hosting package running, but also how to upload files and make your code work. To top it all off, you get an intelligent man with a soothing English accent explaining all of these concepts in a detailed manner. Definitely a good course, and entirely worth the money ... One criticism though. Tell people about Sass. I was very hateful of CSS until I was able to use variables!

My goal for this year was to learn html - well the thing is with this course I have just learn't so much more. Am I pleased? Yes absolutely. I have not quite finished it about the half way mark but would I recommend it to anyone and the answer is yes. I think that the course is very well structured and also comprehensive meaning it covers a lot of information which I am pleased about. When I had a problem I have been able to go on the questions and get an answer fairly quickly. I note that people have said Rob does not respond on emails. Well I have emailed several times and have always had a response quite quickly. There are a couple of negatives that I could mention at the beginning of the lessons there seems to be info missing via video and the talking comes in so I am like woa whats that bit. I absolutely liked this course. You can start this course with no web developing skills but at the end of the course you’ll be able to be a skilled web developer. Extremely useable eBook “How to earn 10000 dollars during the learning code“. I recommend this eBook to everyone who wants to earn money using web development but doesn’t know where to start. The option to Access to free web hosting with excellent services where you can store your web sites for personal and business use, awesome. Advanced package include unlimited web space, Unlimited Bandwidth and Unlimited Domains. “The complete web development course” the only one course that offer you free hosting services as well as learning experience. Thank you Mr. Rob for helping people and giving them a real chance to start web development. It is really doesn’t matter if someone want to became a professional web developer or just use it as a hobby, this course for everyone.

Rob is skilled and exudes enthusiasm in his teaching style. His lectures demonstrate actual coding, you even get to see some minor things not workout quite as planned and get to watch Rob figure it out and fix it. Being able to do this is an important characteristic of anyone who codes. You get to see what Rob codes actually work. The course covers a lot of ground opening up your imagination to the possibilities and letting you see exactly what AJAX or Regular Expressions, and many other web development technologies can actually accomplish. Coding can require a huge amount of patience. The smallest error can cause your code to crash. It can be a very simple thing like instead of "src" for source you typed "scr". causing an image not to display. Rob points out some good tools along the way like google chrome's javascript console and Text Wrangler for an editor which assist in helping us find bugs/mistakes in our code if we use them. S... Some things can be a real challenge tracking down "the why" something is not working or rendering properly. I guess that is the nature of the beast. Learn to love it and you can do well as a web developer. If you hate it and are frustrated by it, it can make your life miserable. But, there is great satisfaction in this kind of creative work for those who are meant for it. And, Rob's course will certainly let you know if this is something for you or not. Good luck and go for it! This is a great course to get your feet wet and get your Web Developer career launched. Thanks Rob!

I’m taking my time to do this course due to other commitments and am a third of the way through. I love the fact that you can do it at your own pace and whenever you like. I have a very basic knowledge of HTML but the way the course is taught is so digestible, I am really enjoying it and it never feels overwhelming. Rob is very inspiring; he is a pleasure to listen to. He has a warm and supportive manner. Although there is no direct interaction, he gives us time to try things out and also is able to laugh at himself when trying out things that perhaps are not perfect the first time. It feels like we are a team learning together. Whatever subject I want to learn with Udemy, I’m going to check if Rob teaches it first! The courses are excellent value for money. I also purchased the iOS8 and Swift course so think I will be learning with Rob for a while yet :-) I may l of course leave further reviews and definitely will do so at the end o... This is definitely a good course for beginners. To be totally honest, I've only gone through the HTML part of the course, but from what I've seen, Mr. Percival gives a very good, basic layout. He doesn't bring you into the nuances of HTML, but he does give you enough to successfully get into the HTML world if you're willing to work at it (which is all Mr. Percival needs to do anyway) It's a good course for first-timers and perhaps for those who want to brush up on their web design skills. I would highly recommend waiting for this course to go on sale before you get it, though, not because the course isn't valuable, but because popular Udemy courses tend to go drastically on sale once every few months.

I initially took an interest on the course, out of all the web dev course in Udemy, just because Mr. Percival was from Cambridge. I thought that it would be a safe bet to have an instructor from an Ivy League. And of course I was right, and was given more than I expected! (and I'm not even half-way through it). Not only that Mr. Percival was an excellent educator, he's also very generous for giving free three months of hosting subscription. What more can you ask! I also found him very honest, candid, actually a no pretense instructor. I've tried Codecademy and Treehouse in the past, but I think this course is the one that's just right for me. Not only that it suit my learning pace (I got bored with Treehouse with it's slow-paced teaching of material), I also thought Mr. Percival is really an educator at heart. His teaching style and content organization are just the best (love the accent too). Though I temporarily had a schedule bump... I'm a very busy single mom, working outside the home and driving and teen-ager to all sorts of activities after school so I do not have a lot of time to take courses for self development. This course was offered via AppSumo and I am so pleased with the format that takes you from the basics to the most complex concepts/tools in web development. Rob Percival's voice is very pleasant so I look forward to taking/reviewing the lessons: it is easy to listen and stay with the lesson. I like the fact that I can go back to a segment again if I have forgotten. I'm a beginner so I appreciate the simplicity of the course. I love his offer of free hosting for three months which he extends if you write a review of the course. This is a great business model where everyone wins. Thank you, Rob!

I've never been good with computers and aside from checking my email and some weather, I really never had a desire to understand how websites got their backbones. Not long ago I saw the add for this course on Facebook and since it was on sale, I figured I would give it a shot - not to mention that there was a money back guarantee. After getting into the course for a few hours and seeing my first website pop up, I have to say that I'm hooked! Can't wait to learn more and because Rob has thought this through so well, almost all my questions are answered before I hit an obstacle. Looking forward to what will come from learning this skill.

This has been one of my favorite and most useful purchases of any purchase to date. Not only has it increased my skill in web development, but also my interest and my ability to exceed at my job. It has even opened up new opportunities. The flow of the course, and how Mr Rob Percival organically takes you through the process of development has helped me to actually understand web development. I can troubleshoot issues, solve problems and get the results I want because I now have a good foundation, not just because I know what to search for. I'm so thankful for this course and how it's impacted my career. I would recommend it to anyone interested in web development from a personal or professional standpoint.

This course is amazing. I cannot put into words how much i've learned and how fast i learnt it. The way it's laid out and setup makes understanding everything so simple. it's not overbearing ever, all the information is spaced out far enough that you have time to comprehend what your learning at that moment. most other courses just throw it all at you all at once. One other thing that sets this apart is the interaction. although Rob is not actually talking to you one on one, in the videos when he says, "im gonna pause this, and i want you to do this, this, and this.." it's really nice because, assuming you don't just wait and copy him, it forces you to do it on your own and see if you actually can and then if something went wrong he shows you how its done and you can find your mistake. i dont know why but i loved this. anyways, this course was well worth the money and i would absolutely spend it all again. not to mention all the extr... Rob Percival’s delivery of The Complete Web Developer Course is as good as it gets, in my experience. The material is segmented into easy-to-digest chunks, each of which has specific action steps to apply, so you experience improvement at every stage. Sound and video quality are fine throughout. Rob’s delivery is measured, clear and in plainest English so both native speakers and second-language speakers will get it. But the real value is the content. I am not a digital native and I am reaching a much fuller understanding and experience of creating for the web through Rob’s course than through any previous learning I have attempted. Follow his steps and you will move forward massively with this course.

This course has taught me a lot so far. I was self taught in a few areas and had been trying to learn JavaScript on my own for some time. It wasn't working out but I've been able to put the pieces I was missing together because of this course. It's great for teaching you everything you need to know to get started and the added bonuses make it that much more valuable. The lecture provide the right amount of information to get you started, as well as sites to utilize if you need help. Rob Percival, has responded to every question I've seen in the comments, and the support of other students has been wonderful. Both students and teacher have been encouraging also. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to start coding for a living!

I'm a third of the way through this course and it is literally getting me up in the morning! (I've been rising very early to fit it in around a hectic schedule.) The course is extremely well thought-out and logical to follow. It's neatly divided into skills that build on each other, so if you can't work on it all the time you won't feel lost. As a perfectionist, I would say there are some minor tweaks in production that could be ironed out for consistency or clarity, but these don't really affect your learning and this course is still extremely professionally designed and organised. It's more than excellent value for money. Your skills will develop from lecture 1, and you won't need to go far before realising you've become a competent web developer! Thanks!

I have tried a few different web development course, and my mind always ends up drifting away, due to an annoying tone of voice or accent, or even the teaching styles of the instructors. But Mr. Percival's teaching method and tone are very easy to follow. And his British accent probably doesn't hurt either. But then I have always found British accents easier on my ears than others. But not only does Mr. Percival deliver solid web development fundamentals to his students in a clear and concise manner, but his tone and candor have greatly boosted my confidence in my own abilities as a developer. It does not take super human abilities to learn web development, despite what many in the industry would try to have us to believe to secure their own job security. So If you're looking for a course that will teach you what you need to know to become an actual web developer, then this course will be well worth your money.

I've been working on this weekends but have been going pretty slowly. I completed the first section of the course on HTML and already know way more about coding than most people I know. Obviously there is a ton to learn but Rob's course has given me a solid understanding of how HTML works, how pages are built and even how to create my own page or use a template and my limited knowledge to edit the code itself to remove 3rd party branding and create a beautiful site that looks professionally designed. This class also introduced me to W3 Schools which has been an invaluable resource as well in learning more about HTML and having an easy tool to quickly look up the HTML code for anything I might need to edit. I look forward to making time to compete the rest of the course and I really enjoy the hands on nature of how Rob walks through everything with you following along. I really find this the best way to learn, by doing. Thanks Rob!

So I've been attempting to teach myself web development for a few months, and I've tried many different approaches, from books, online tutorials, in-person classes and meetup groups. So far, this course is much better than all of those and the value is outstanding. I consider it to be even better than an in person class due to the fact that I can complete the course around my free time, and I can pause and re-watch any concept that I didn't grasp the first time around. There are no distractions (except whatever is going on in my home), and I can go at my own pace. Rob's accent is interesting, and it never gets dry or boring. The short 8-15 minute (mostly) lessons are just enough information that I don't feel overwhelmed, and it also helps that just a few different concepts are introduced at one time. I find this course to be an excellent value and I will definitely take any other courses from Mr. Percival.

Before taking the course i already were familiar with Wordpress, but i still had some question on which i really needed an answer. From the first classes of this course I started receiving answers. Rob is explaining everything so simple some how the write way, so i can understand the entire process of creating a website, before i new only how to set up pre made Wordpress theme, now I starting to thinking how to make my own personal html website. I really recommend this course to everyone because it's the most effective way to learn, if you want to learn web development it’s really simple to start with Rob’s course you get not just knowledge but the real tool to start like Eco Hosting, that will help you not just learn by real practise but it will help you start creating you portfolio, creative projects for clients ore make your ideas come true like i used it! Thank you Rob for so amazing and affordable opportunity, for great lectures... I have tried various learning media for web development and this one tops them all, because you actually get excellent instruction for building working web sites. You also get access to the course author's e-book on making money while you are taking this course. One thing I enjoy is that he speaks very clearly with excellent enunciation, and explains the details of each step very well. Along with the video lessons are lessons that are just the code that was just covered so you do not need to copy every thing that the instructor does, but can see the completed code immediately after the video lesson. Besides the lessons, there are also detailed instructions on how to set up your own web site, using their hosting site, and how to use ftp to transfer files from your computer to the site. All in all, I recommend this course for anyone wanting to become a successful web developer.

Usually I don't write reviews, good or bad I keep things for myself. But after I started “The Complete Web Developer Course”, I can say that it is one of a kind that got my attention. The title justifies in depth such as quality contents and knowledge. Based on what I learned from this course I decided to take “The complete iOS8 and Swift: Learn by Building Real Apps” as well which is another good course. In other words excellent tutorials and practical references. To me, Rob's collection, book or video tutorials, it's all good. Anyone interested in learning, eagerness to grasp news concepts (technologies), incorporating them into infrastructure to get results, go ahead take the following courses: “The Complete Web Developer Course” and “The complete iOS8 and Swift: Learn by Building Real Apps” by Rob Percival. Stand by, more reviews to come because I take 40+ courses from Udemy, I intend to give credit to many other good instructors... Usually I don't write reviews, good or bad I keep things for myself.
