The Complete Web Developer Course is indeed very easy to follow. There is no prior knowledge needed as long as you are reasonably tech-savvy (i.e. you know how to use a computer and maybe you know there is a bunch of coding behind the internet to make it work.). I have only completed 15% of the course at the time of this writing. The course is very well-structured in a way that you can go back easily to a point where you need reference. At times, it also feels like the course is live too. Mr Rob Percival is very attentive to the comments area and fellow classmates help each other too. And one of the best things, you get FREE hosting, which is like practicing on the real thing! At 15%, I have made my very first website, not a pretty one but it felt really good seeing that page which I have made! I recommend the course to any to-be web developer!

This course has been so easy to use and Rob covers all the essentials to the more complex, but all very thorough and easy to build on, from one lesson to the next. Highly recommended, and great value with his hosting too!

I have been working in the eCommerce space for the better part of 16 years and never took the time to learn the application side of the Internet. I have always written code. First fortran, then pl/1 (I wrote my first program in 1972), basic, pascal, algol, C/C++, shell scripting, perl, ruby, etc . . . When I saw the offer for this course on web development, I bought on a lark. I turns out this is a fantastic way to learn to build web applications. I already knew basic html and the course gave me a nice refresher with more detail than I had previously known. The section on CSS was good, as I had heard of CSS and seen it on the sites I administer, but never really used it. I am really excited about what I am learning. I am not finished with the course, yet, but I am sure the rest of it will be as informative and enjoyable as the ones I have already covered. Thanks Rob !!

The quality of this course is excellent and Rob is readily available for any questions you might have along the way. Meanwhile, the most important feature for me was the length of the lectures, which seldom are longer than 10 minutes, usually around 4-6 minutes. This is genius, because it turns the "learn at your own pace" into a "learn at your own pace, but make sure there IS pace." No matter how busy you are, there is really no excuse not to squeeze at least one 5 minute lecture into your day. Maybe it'll take you a bit longer, but eventually you will get there, bit by bit. This is a huge advance to lots of other courses, where the sheer length of the lectures may deter you from actually finish the course. So, if you are very busy, but still want to keep on learning, this is the right course for you (and if you are not busy, all the better, you'll be ready to go in a month).

I have completed about one fourth of the course. Although I have quite a lot of programming experience I had never dabbled with HTML or CSS. Honestly, I took advantage of the Udemy offer for New Year and signed up for course paying only $10. What I liked the most is that the course has a natural flow and the lessons are short and sweet without overwhelming you with truck loads of information. Rob is a great teacher with a lucid style. It may be the nature of the topic but Rob's explanation is very intuitive. I have not referred to any other resource than www.w3schools.com (which Rob recommends visiting). Using concise examples and small bytes of code, Rob takes you step by step through creating your own web page and you wouldn't even have realized how far you've come. The quality of the recording is top class. I toyed with the idea of downloading it to my iOS device but decided otherwise. It is far easier to use a keyboard and a mous... I bought so many courses on Udemy, around 30 paid courses. Most of them are web development or related to the field courses but I just really enjoy when applying for this course. I know a little bit about HTML and CSS so I can skip those sections to come to more complex things. Surprisingly every little things are covered by 1 or 2 videos and 1 pdf file, that way I can check back what I learned from the videos anytime without any problems. The most important thing is a lot more people are on the track of the course too so I can ask and get reply in just few hours. This makes me have more motivation to keep learning. Rob put much effort to make high quality content and update the course so I have no complaint. Besides, you can have free web hosting from Rob as I'm using for my main website :) 10/10 course!

First of all, this guy is a genius. Encouraging students to write reviews for longer hosting? Genius. Having students host their sites from a hosting company he owns? Genius. This guy is the master of passive income. I've been enjoying reading the book which comes with this course, and he really means to help people from all walks of life make money in a multitude of ways, and he is the living example of everything he speaks of. I am not very far through the course because i have taken on several different things at once, but the setup and instruction is clear as day, and any questions you have will either be answered by him or a fellow student within hours, if not minutes. Look for an online promo, and this course is most certainly worth your money. You will probably learn things you don't mean to.

Rob Percival steps through web-site coding and concepts with an easy, engaging presentation, simple examples to get going, and more challenging exercises to test what you learned. I appreciate the ability to pause the course, revisit and review sections as needed. The biggest plus for me (to date) are the free web resources for developers. I have not had to pay for any additional software packages in order to take this class. Rob integrates a plethora of web resources - his own and third-party - into the class. He overviews the additional web-site's structure, walks through the different download configurations for software (local or the web-site server and WHY and WHEN you would choose one over the other), and shows how to grab the resources used in the Complete Web Developer course. I highly recommend this course for two reasons: 1) the breadth of information that it covers and 2) the free web hosting provided. There are many courses that do a good job of delving into one or more of the facets of web development that Rob does, but none cover as many topics. Personally, I'm participating in several courses to reinforce my learning and get exposure to different approaches to mastering the concepts, but Rob's course is my "base camp" through the process I've taken up. This course gives you a great feel for the breadth of knowledge it takes to become a successful developer. He's an engaging instructor and provides ample opportunity to practice what you've learned. Hi all, I had no idea about programming or website development at all, but this course helped me to understand how it works. I´m still a newbie, but now I got the equipment to create my own website and to customize it by means of HTML etc. Furthermore, you are never alone while leanring. There is a huge community of students ( ca. 65000 students), who always help eachother to solve occuring issues. If you got a query, just write a post and you get help immediatly. Simply a great course and totally worth it´s money / time. Mr. Percvival is a patient teacher, who explains all the details step by step. All videos are produced in high quality and ensure a fast learning proccess for all kind of people. Whether newbies like me or pros. Everybody is well advised take this course! Best regards, Valentino K.

I am not one to give anything a 5 star rating as I am a firm believer that there is always room for improvement. However, this course is worth every star. Rob Percival is a fantastic instructor who has an educational background and it shows in his delivery. I can tell that he is passionate about both web development and about teaching others, which is very refreshing. I have messed around with web development for several years, but more as a hobby and additional education versus doing it as a professional. Well he is right! My confidence is already growing and I am a Web Developer who will achieve my goal of finally having a career in my field of passion. These videos are great. They are not to long, he keeps you interested and provides you with the sample code of the previous video. His speaking is very clear and understandable and I have to admit that I love the english accent... :-) The best part is that his tone is always upbeat and keeps your attention throughout. One thing that I would like to mention if you decide to take this course is to make sure you follow along with him during each video. Pause, complete the step and then move on to the next. I for one learn better this way and the only way for you to become a successful developer is by actually doing it. Practice makes perfect. This was the first course that I have actually purchased on Udemy and I can honestly say that it is worth every penny. Take the course because you want to learn about web development and not because of all the free gifts. You'll be happy you made the decision. Thank you Rob for providing so many people with this learning experience that will only enhance their futures and their careers.

Unfortunately, I've wasted way too much time over the years trying to learn from poorly written books and low quality video tutorials. I'm happy to says this course is presented clearly, including getting set up with a free development environment. The main selling points are the author's knowledge and teaching style. I can clearly understand his explanation of various topics AND the individual words he is speaking. There are a lot of people with knowledge, but good luck finding someone who also speaks English clearly with a pleasant voice. I love your voice, Rob! I also purchased a domain name from you, so I may a long-term customer. Thanks for making it so easy to finally learn things that seemed so difficult in the past. I look forward to more courses from you, because we need your talents to stay up to speed as technology continues to evolve at a breakneck pace.

You will read it over and over again in numerous reviews and yet it will be difficult for you to comprehend the quality of this course until you take it. Rob is just an absolutely outstanding teacher who has the ability to see through his student's perspective and explain even the minute details of concepts in depth. The videos had almost all my instantaneous questions addressed as if Rob could read my thoughts and hence knew my questions. I'm less than 30% of my way into the course and have already learned much more than I set out to learn in the first place. I was a bit on the fence about taking the course but now I just cannot wait until I am finished with the course! The forums are very helpful and someone is almost ALWAYS online to address your questions. Anyone remotely interested in web development should at least sit through the first 20 videos (sounds like a lot, doesn't take long). I bet you'd be hooked. Hope this helps :-)

I've been learning html/css/Javascript on and off for about 1.5 years now using a bunch of online resources such as w3schools, codeacademy, treehouse, and some community college courses. Codeacademy and treehouse deserve some credit for doing a good job, but to be honest until I recently came across this class I was struggling to put it all together. I was able to build my own website and hack around using bootstrap and a little bit of wordpress, but I was always a bit confused on how things flowed together requiring a lot of research to get even basic stuff done. This course has done a great job so far of showing and explaining how it all works. The videos go at a great pace so you never feel like it's too slow, in fact I often pause or go back in the videos because I like to code while I'm watching because that's how I learn best. If you are enrolled or thinking of enrolling to this course, I would not think about it. I would do it. It is a no brainer. For starters, the instructor. Rob is absolutely on point. There are no doubts in my mind after finishing each chapter that I have gotten what I need. Sure if it is new it can intimidating, but you can assure that within a few lines of code, you will feel like you are well on your way! You can see the results and you can feel the gratification you get from the completion of his exercises. So what are you waiting for? Get on board and work with one of the best instructors Udemy has to offer. Not to mention it is a no brainer on all the incentives you get from being his student. Do not just sit there and wonder if you could code and make it happen. You can! With this course.

It is nice course simple to follow and understand every step. There's really a lot of great content in this course. Rob’s explanations are very clear and walkthroughs, good demonstrations of key points, helpful tips throughout the course. The course gives a broad overview of all of the web development steps and tools that you'll need to create an awesome Website; along with course he has quite helpful book how to start your freelance business. Even though the course's main subject is creating website and finding different ways to make money from your skills most of the information covered can help you to be good web developer. It includes PDFs for all the steps, so you can complete projects while following along with the course. While you'll need some additional study materials (and hours of practice) before being able to create professional websites, I think this course is a great starting point. Highly recommended!

Having worked as a designer for some time, I started this course to solidify my understanding of coding. Rob Percival obviously enjoys teaching and eases you into the lessons which really helps with solidifying my understanding of certain aspects of web development. Learning by building real web sites is much more rewarding than other courses I took, and therefor kept me motivated. The content is well organized and the presentation follows a logical order. The production quality was extremely nice with crystal clear HD videos and equally clear audio. Rob is easy to understand for non-native speakers. A year of free hosting is a huge bonus and allows you to see your websites online right away. I wish this course had been available when I first started coding. It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

To be honest, I'm still in the middle of this course, but I *had* to jump on real quick to write this review. I just finished the "Code Player" project, and I've been having so much fun! I've done plenty of other online courses that were self-directed, but having Rob's lectures has provided me with many nuanced insights into best practices that other resources have missed. Also, he has chosen some really interesting projects to help you practice, and the pace is quick enough that you don't get bored while slow enough to not leave you in the dust. However, with all the other free courseware out there, it's pretty hard to screw things up too badly. If you're still reading this far, and the course is on sale, JUST BUY IT! Included in the course is up to a year of free web hosting, which on its own is worth upwards of $100! Plus, Rob includes his eBook, which may sound gimmicky but actually provides some very useful tips for getting started as a web developer. This is, without a doubt, one of the best purchases I've made.

I am only part way through the course working at slower pace than I'd like due to having to juggle a full time demanding job and parenting. So far I am thoroughly enjoying the Web Development course. The design of the course is superb in that Rob has broken down lectures into bite sized chunks which cover a single feature. Each lecture video is supported by a downloadable e-book. Rob presents each lecture at the right pace and is very clear in his explanations. The quality of the videos are excellent too. I am an experienced software developer however I have not done Web Development before. I wanted to learn from first principles and this course I believe is the best on offer and great value for money. All round I am very happy to have purchased this course and am so impressed that I have just purchased the iOS8 and Swift course. I am learning to 'fake it until I become it' :-)

I'm very new to this aspect of computer programming and at first found myself very intimidated by the course. Mr. Percival put my mind a ease right from the get go. The program layout and the instructors presentation of the material is very thorough and for the most part very ease to comprehend. One should have a good basic understanding of computer use and be able to research items that might be at first confusing. This would include the ability to acquire such items as text editors and FTP client software other then what the course material suggests. The course material is presented on a Mac and I'm a PC user. For the most part this is not a problem with the exception that the FTP client software suggested failed to work on my PC. If you want to learn Web development, and you're a beginner, this is a great jumping off point to achieve your goals.

After completing an undergraduate degree and two master's level degrees (with one being an MBA in Entrepreneurial Technology), I can say with the utmost confidence that Rob Percival's course "The Complete iOS Developer Course" demonstrates a mastery in how to teach individuals of all skill levels how to develop apps in the Apple ecosystem with confidence. Rob's ability to hit on all levels of educating the individual taking the course combined with his real life experiential projects have done wonders for me. I highly suggest taking Rob's course "The Complete iOS Developer Course" or any of his other courses on Udemy. I have personally signed up for each and every class that he has posted on Udemy and it has paid off in spades! Larry

I'm presently half way through and I just love the hands on approach. I took an introductory course through treehouse, which was great, but the project based approach of this course has been extremely helpful. I love how in some of the videos not all things go as planned, but you hear Rob explain and work through the issues just as you would need to in real life. His explanation of "real world" best practices puts everything that I've learned into perspective. For the projects, my goal has always been to try and stay one step ahead of Rob and attempt to build out the portion of the website before he actually walks you through it. It helps me compare my thought process to his and makes the lessons learned more impactful. In one project, the BBC News website, the version of the site that I was using as a model had been updated slightly since Rob had made the video, so I felt proud when I was able to apply what I learned to adjust for t... Thanks Rob! Look forward to taking your IOS8 Swift course soon after this one.

Rob is the perfect mentor for starting into the world of programming and development. The lessons are build on another and the learning pace increases while following along the whole way through. I started learning Web Development and Swift with his two excellent courses about half a year ago in the evening after my regular job and now I'm about to release my first App and developed some websites for me and friends. By now I feel experienced enough to code basic stuff and motivated enough to keep trying when stuck with a more complex task. I know where to look up if i'm stuck and feel confident for more complex apps and websites. However I still return to the course occasionally if I can't remember how to something because I remember that Rob explained a similar problem or task in his courses. So thumbs up. These courses really got me starting. Thank you so much!

I have made it through about 50% of this course. Normally I would wait till I finished the entire course to write a review but I am so impressed so far I thought now would be a good time. If I still feel differently at the end of the course I will update this review or write a new one. I have bought the books, taken other courses (paid and free) and never have I gotten this much out any previous course I have taken. The HTML and CSS sections were basically refreshers for me and I didn't expect to really learn anything. It turned out that I not only learned a lot but I was shown better ways to get the results I wanted. Java Script was all new to me and after this course I feel I have the knowledge and confidence to not only read the programs but even make changes where I would need them. With a little practice I know I will soon be writing my own little java script programs. I have just started the jQuery section and after only a coup... I am once again excited about web development and really looking forward to completing this course and taking others on Udemy.

Hello everyone. I ‘am a software engineering enthusiast, I have been learning programming and software engineering since 2009. Since that I have been introduced and known with most of the topics covered in this course like: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP. Not including some more advanced techniques cowered here that make Web development more attractive and professional as: jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, WordPress, APIs and an amazing book “How to earn $10.000 while learning to code” Even that I know how to program I didn’t know where to start, so I couldn’t start earn anything. Since I have started this course, even that I have already finished just about 50% I feel more confident and I Know that once I finish this course I am ready to start working on my Ideas first as I gain some experience, than I could take part on any Web Development project with no fear.
