UC Berkeley online courses and MOOCs - student reviews
The University of California, Berkeley, consistently receives high marks in assessments of the world’s greatest universities. Berkeley ranks eighth in the 2013-14 Times Higher Education evaluations of the world’s top universities, and the school had the second-highest number of academic programs rated in the Top Ten by QS in 2013. Berkeley offers more than 100 academic majors for undergraduates, with an emphasis on the arts and sciences. Its graduate school stands out among the rest, partly due to an outstanding faculty, which includes seven Nobel Laureates, 32 MacArthur fellows and four Pulitzer Prize winners. One staff member, Lowell Bergman, known for his work on the PBS documentary series "Frontline," plays an active role in the Graduate School of Journalism. He has much experience working in the field as a producer and correspondent, and has taught a seminar on investigative reporting for more than 20 years. Students benefit from instructors’ expertise; between 2000 and 2009, the National Science Foundation awarded more graduate research fellowships to students at Berkeley than to those at any other university. Online courses through UC-Berkeley enable you to learn from top-notch educators in a variety of fields from computer graphics to writing.
